I dispatched for a city in westchester, a lot of the frequent flyers know what to say to get a ride to the hospital .we had one flyer that called 3-4 times a day all hours, the administration knew but did nothing.a few times we had a cardiac call and had to call an out of town bus...this happens in most towns and city's..it seems as long as the bill gets paid nobody cares until something goes wrong then they hang the dispatcher.....my 2 cents...

STOP, time for a new topic.

When the Sh** is hitting the fan on the fire floor or the floor above, language frequently gets salty. Anyone who has spent some time in zero visibility and high heat while searching for life, forcing doors, getting a line into position or trying to find their way out would likely agree.

Some years ago I would have agreed with this, but today F@#k this, F@#k that and f@#k the other thing, IS the language of the public realm. Nobody cares how many f@#ks one gives anymore. I mean jeez, just about any movie you see has more F bombs than anything else in the dialogue for Christ's sake.

On the video, honestly, if telling a crew to get their line in place and "put the f@#king fire out" over the radio gets them moving to do just that...well then that's A-OK in my book. But hey, my ears lost their virginity a long long time ago so...

Given the circumstances they get a by. Sounds like he was calling for a line and it wasn't coming fast enough. I think we all have been in situations where the last thing we are worried about is our language. What is important is they got the job done and went home to their families

Are we really trying to make an issue on this ?   Did you write this from your safe space?  If you have a problem with the way the chief spoke why don't you take a drive to talk to him.  And I'm sure he'll tell you to get the f*** outta his office.  If you're not gonna do that I suggest you stop being a keyboard warrior and focus on something else that matters more

If that's what it takes to get your point across to get the job done, so be it.
    Hope everyone went home safe.

We've become so PC and pussified in recent years, it's scary.
Does is sound professional? Maybe not. But the men making these statements are likely some of the most professional in the business.

Seriously you are upset over language on a fire ground /tac radio?  As long as it's not over main communications talk to each other however you want.  On my jobs tac channel we speak anyway which way to get the job done or get a point across. As long as FCC and scanner buffs listening everywhere don't hear it who cares.  This sounds like more PC BS that doesn't need to be brought up or have a topic thread open about it.  Nice video though hope everyone got home safe.

My wife was cut off and almost run off the road last week on the Thruway in Orange County, by a van owned by an FD on Long Island.

As  posted on this site a million times about this topic this is an abuse of privilege!!!  I was up in the  Lake George area  last week and a down south chiefs truck blew by me on the Northway.  The best now is the trucks with the ghost writing on them!!!

Some of the outrage may have been sparked by what happened in Coventry Rhode Island when a commissioner there stated "They look like a bunch of yahoos," Gralinski said at a board meeting. "Like in the paper, like ISIS is Syria going to take over a city. I don't think they need that big flag on the back of the truck. That's not America to me. Those are a bunch of terrorists. So, I'm going to ask you to take the flag off the truck." I think this recent flag ban may be a thinly veiled attempt by the Arlington commissioners to do the same. I support the flags, especially at a time when the country is so divided.

I personally believe there is a concerted effort on the part of many to shut down expressions of patriotism.  This appears especially true in Government controlled/supervised areas where bureaucrats can direct these expressions be removed from publicly owned or subsidized properties.

I believe it is part and parcel with the 'all inclusive' philosophy that seeks to stifle our ability to have a common language, our own customs and a defined border.

In the old days we did the same as the navy. Broke a bottle of champagne over the front bumper. Usually gave the honor to one of the wives of a deceased firefighter.

Six aerial devices throwing water, another rear mount standing nearby; whose minding the store where these rigs came from ? Just a thought, not looking to start a s&%tstorm.
