The amount of supposition here is astounding. Not only does Transcare hold numerous 911 contracts with numerous hospitals throughout the city, it also does do interfacility transports (which anyone knows can be an emergency in itself) but no regulation or rule states that a person having a medical emergency has to call 911 and no regulation or rule states that Transcare has to call 911 for said emergency, no matter your definition of 'emergency'.
No, I do not know the reason for the vehicle, but I wouldn't be so pompous as to go on a 'public' forum and start assuming it was 'just go red lights and sirens'. How hard would it have been to pick up the phone, call Transcare and ask?

I agree that the situation wasn't handled right, but I wonder if there was more to this story...
What happened before the clip started? Was the photographer going beyond the fire line and warned multiple times? Someone mentioned it looked like the photographer had a dash light in his car, did he cross the line into whacker territory? Was the person in the car one of the firefighter's family members/close friends?
Not saying those excuse it, but it might explain it

If you look at JetPhoto's photo it is a great example of what is missing in high school sports and soon to be collegiate.
About 2 months ago, or a bit more when it was still snowing out. One of the athletes asks, what is one way outside of the gym to get stronger? I went on to ask him about the rest and recovery he was doing, as well as the fluids and foods he was consuming. After all checked out. I then asked, are you shovelling? He said no, Ok do you rake your yard? Once again no. The remote is replacing the tool, and for younger generations to continue to get stronger, they need a little manual labor in their life. The strongest athletes I have are the ones that also rake, shovel, mow the lawn when needed.
Secondly, NSCA which is one of the most respected organizations in the strength and conditioning field, has implemetned a new strength and conditioning certification to improve conditioning for all tactical occupations, such as police, fire, ems and esu. They just had a national conference last week, and from the sound of it, it is progressing well. So, if any one in the exercise science field, who has either a phys. ed, exercise science or exercise physiology degree and a passion for emergency servies, you may want to look into this

Boston Police is asking that people refrain from posting specific addresses of tactical operations to protect Officer Safety. This guy is online posting threatening messages to the Boston Police, so its not unreasonable to believe he's reading up on the search either. The media is already screwing this up pretty bad but please don't further compromise Boston's operational security by posting addresses of search locations, etc.
UPDATE: Most Boston Police online feeds have been cut for OPSEC purposes.
