The former quarters of NY Fire Patrol # 2, located on W 3st in Manhattan is now owned by Anderson Cooper. Here are a couple of photos since he renovated the place. The photo with the rig is from when it was still in service.

Original Millwood VFC Station 1 is at 94 Millwood Road.  It was sold some time in the past few years with the completion of the new HQ.  Also in NYC the old Fire Patrol station near NYU in the village still stands.  Reportedly owned by CNN anchor Anderson Cooper.

Old Tarrytown firehouse was originally a Masonic Lodge building. House Hope Hose on left as you faced the building. To the right was Conqueror Hook & Ladder. The police were located in the rear of the building. Detectives got a lot of drives! Lodge was located on 2nd floor.
 

Always wanted to buy an old firehouse to convert into a brewpub. Perhaps I'll win the lotto soon lol.

Description:  Initial call for fire in rear kitchen of house. Caller said others were on the 2nd floor and could not self evacuate, caller could not get to them to alert or assist them. Caller then said he thought everyone was out. E3 arrived on scene and transmitted the working fire. 2 lines were stretched and fire was knocked down at 17:34.

2-27 TroTLF Mercedes-Benz 3535/Rosenbauer DA-EM 241 1993

One of two Industrial Engines. The nickname is Iguana Here's some basic info:

Chassis: MB 3535
Bodywork: Rosenbauer (the cab itself was modified by Eller GmbH)

Water tank: 4000 l

ABC dry powder: 3000 kg

Pump output: 6000 lpm @ 8 bar

The crew cab in the middle of the bodywork has 4 seats (facing backwards, with BA sets fitted into the backrests). One additional BA set is mounted in the driver's cab. The water tank (and presumably the foam tank as well) is situated behind the crew cab, above the rear axels. A hosereel is mounted in the pump locker, above the pump's control panel. The powder and CO2 tanks are installed above the two front axles. There are 4 hosereels behind the driver's cab, 2 for each agent, on both sides (the smaller one for CO2 and the larger one for powder). There are two roof monitors. The vehicle is also fitted with a 'shower' system (decontamination purposes? the German description didn't say what it is for exactly!).

After a lot of hard work by the Fairchester Hose Haulers the Valhalla dam is back after 38 years. Save this date for the greatest Antique fire truck show in the world. More details will follow in the near future. Stay tuned

I suppose that Tower Ladders, Ladder Towers, Snorkels & Brontos could all be classified as aerial platforms. I think Greenwich used to call Tower 1 Platform 1 when they first got it. 
 
Now the real confusion is that Bronto & Snorkel could also be called articulated booms (I seem to remember that from many years ago). 
 
Also Snorkel, Telesquirt & I think Squrt are all now brands of Smeal.
