Legal notice for New Hampton (Orange Co.) seeking bids for a 102' quint.

Florida's (Orange) new rescue is complete, not sure if delivered yet? It's a KME medium duty rescue on a Freightliner M2-106 four door 4x4 chassis.

Construction has begun on a Spartan ERV pumper for Wyckoff, NJ (Bergen) and a 93' mid-mount platform for Congers, NY (Rockland). Also underway is a Ferrara 100' rear mount platform for East Fishkill, NY (Dutchess).

New Fairfield has an ambulance that went out to bid. It will replace 91-2 (former Squantz Ambulance)

If I'm not mistaken, I believe Cheshire got denied for the second aerial. Taxpayers decided they didn't need it.

Connecticut Fire Academy just received an AFG grant for a brand new pumper.

New Fairfield 91-2 Ambulance a P.L. Custom Emergency Vehicle ambulance, Medallion Series GM Diesel custom designed so it more comfortably fits all of our equipment and to more closely match the space, inside height (to keep our taller members from having to hunch over) and equipment placements of 91-1. Still waiting on production pictures, but delivery due either early September (or early October?). Wanted to get the power stretchers for both ambulances, but even one would have put us way over budget, so for now just going with a newer version of a regular Stryker stretcher to replace the one, and working on getting another one for 91-1 since that way older one just broke. Many, many thanks to Patterson for their loaner - you wonderful people saved us from being down an ambulance, and we very much appreciate that. So do our patients :)

Stamford's new Engine 8 KME (1500 gpm/1000 tank) entered service last Monday evening.

The other new KME for Engine 1 (1500 gpm/750 tank) is in the process of being outfitted and will hopefully be ready for mid-September.

Both rigs are similar to the new KME at Engine 9 that went into service in the fall of 2013.

We'll see how long it lasts. Our Ambos get pretty beat up, the current A827 is up to 1,606 runs this year as of July 31st. It is 100% volunteer and staffed 24/7 unless it's OOS for mechanical reasons.

I heard there will soon be a wet down for Dan Leghorn's (Orange Lake) KME. If it can remain in service long enough, Winona Lake's KME is now supposed to be delivered in September after multiple delays.

Are you serious?!?

No, not at all! I'm unsure where your getting your information from. We are still completing driver training and familiarization. We hope to have it in service shortly.

Well, your department needs to get correct info up on you Instagram page!

I think you need to reread our Instagram. We utilize social media to keep the community we serve in the know and update it accordingly. We've never made any mention the engine was in service. Thanks
